Reverend Michael L. Henderson and First Lady Twanna Henderson founded New Beginnings Community Church on October 12, 1999 at the Albemarle Road Recreation Center located in Charlotte, North Carolina. The church began as a Tuesday evening Bible study group with ten members.
The first lesson launched a series based on the Book of Acts about the beginning of the Church Age, and how the people of God carry out the mission that God lays upon them when He sets them apart for Himself.
The Spirit of God met the group each Tuesday evening, as the Word was taught with power and authority, and accompanied by a cappella praise and worship. Each week souls were saved, lives were changed, and people were added to the body of Christ.
To reach the unchurched and unsaved by establishing a Godly presence in East Charlotte by sharing God's love through inspirational messages, biblical teaching, worship, prayer, community outreach, and counseling.
